Who I am

Nocturnal Editorial is run by [full name], an editor based in Dubai who works with clients in the UK and worldwide. I am responsible for the personal information you send through this website. You can reach me at [email protected].

What I collect

Only what you choose to send through the enquiry form:

• your name and email address;
• the service you are interested in, the length of your project and your deadline, if you give them;
• your message, and any sample of writing you attach.

The website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. Its fonts and images are served from this site.

Why I use it

To reply to your enquiry and, if you want to go ahead, to quote for and carry out the work. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering the people who contact me.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry is delivered to my inbox by [form service], and stored by [email provider]. Both act only on my instructions. I never sell your details or use them for marketing.

How long I keep it

If we don’t end up working together, I delete your enquiry and any sample within 12 months. If we do, I keep project correspondence for as long as I need it for my business records.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you can object to how I use it. Email me and I will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
